Stem Cell Therapy Procedure

Treating the source of your pain for longer lasting results

The stem cell therapy procedure is virtually painless and a very effective method to treating osteoarthritis. The non-invasive stem cell therapy procedure is an alternative to joint replacements, which can be quite daunting. At Brisbane Regeneration we’d rather look at the source of your pain and treat it with what we consider a more long-term solution. Using resources from your own body means you are less likely to have an allergic reaction or reject the substance. We don’t insert any foreign or artificial materials throughout the procedure, which is why we believe stem cell treatment can be so successful in osteoarthritis patients.

We assist a wide variety of Osteoarthritis sufferers with their chronic pain through stem cell therapy. Enquire today to find out how our stem cell therapy can help your chronic pain.

We use advanced technology to reduce osteoarthritis and joint pain

Osteoarthritis and joint pain can severely impede your performance as well as your quality of life as you get older. If you have experienced chronic pain in your joints due to osteoarthritis as a result of aging or joint pain due to athletic exertion, we may have just the solution for you. At Brisbane Regeneration, we provide you with a tailored treatment plan to ensure we achieve the best results possible for you.

Phases of the Treatment

There are three phases to stem cell therapy: extraction, separation, and treatment.

The extraction process should be quick and virtually painless

After a consultation with Dr Sami, the first step to the stem cell therapy process is extraction of blood. This step is efficient and you will feel practically no pain. In order to extract the required cells, we extract a number of vials of blood from your arm. Brisbane Regeneration is dedicated to providing you with the best service and treatment available for stem cell therapy. Your comfort will be our priority through the extraction process, and every other step of the way.

We will then ‘treat’ the cells using our advanced technology

The next step involves treating the cells to purify and refine the valuable regenerative cells. This advanced technology does not require any added chemicals or enzymes during the process, which is another reason it is so effective. The separation process creates the pluripotent blood derived stem cells. Once they cells are created, they are almost ready to be re-inserted to the affected area.

The quality of the cells need to be tested before re-insertion

Dr Sami will use a device called a flow cytometer to examine the quality of the stem cells, their count, and viability. The flow cytometer is essential to create the optimal formulation and dosage of stem cell products for procedure. The cell numbers are then recorded to determine the chances of a successful treatment. Brisbane Regeneration are constantly analysing results and data to better their knowledge in stem cell therapy, and improve future procedures.

We will reinject these regenerative cells to renew function and vitality

The final stage of your initial treatment will be the reinjection of the stem cells. These are reinjected into the affected area by your doctor so that the regenerative process can begin restoring the damaged tissue and bone. In the ensuing weeks you should experience an improvement in the function of your joint and a reduction in the amount of pain.

Your follow-up procedure is an important part of your treatment. It is required that you revisit your doctor to ensure your procedure is successful. The stem cell treatment is a one off treatment. However, we recommend patients have 3 Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) injections one month apart starting 4-6 weeks after the stem cell procedure. This works to boost the stem cells and can aid in seeing a faster improvement.

TREATMENT DISCLAIMER It is important to understand that while stem cell therapy can help alleviate symptoms in many patients and slow or even reverse degenerative processes, at times it does not work for all patients. Consequently, Brisbane Regeneration can neither predict nor guarantee success for individual patients who undergo stem cell treatment. Based on additional information, patient's current health situation and/or unforeseen health risks, the medical staff can always, in the interest of the individual patient, propose another kind of stem cell transplantation or in exceptional situations cancel the stem cell treatment.
